School Story:

memories of high school?? Very foggy, :) Um, no seriously, I had a blast in high school. Probably the one thing that I loved was getting to school every morning (usually under the influence) and hearing Aerosmith's "Sweet Emotion" on the jukebox. Great way to start the day!! Other than that, life was pretty tame. Getting those Chocolate "frosties" in the cafeteria, with a package of Suzie Q's or a bag of Fritos to satisfy the munchies, then off to homeroom with Mr. Howdle and our little group in the back of the classroom, Gayle Gyssler, Glen Hagen, Gary Hoebbel, and a gal I think Linda Harrington was her name, I think she was new to the school. We had fun!

Andy, I too, was of the same burnout crowd and I do remember you, although you probably do not remember me, either.  I was pretty low key.   But I did see John occasionally, and always at the reunions, and several times at the Beacon when Chris and Dave would arrange a get together.  Knowing John was sick, I made every effort to see him whenever the occasion arose. He knew how much I cared about him, the feeling was mutual.  We had like this weird long term spiritual relationship, for lack of a better explanation, since we met in 6th grade.  Everytime we saw each other, it was like we just saw each other the day before.  I hope that my time spent with him means more to him then anything that I could write here, but since you were calling out to people, I felt the need to write this.   John was one of my first big crushes, and party buddy in high school.  He'll never be forgotten, and will always hold a very very special place in my heart.
