Raymond G. Schellenberger, age 65, of Lombard, passed away on November 25, 2024.

Raymond was the beloved husband of Clara Ann Esposito; the loving father of Phillip and Geno; dear brother of Mark, Donna (Lisa Schmitz), Sandy, Jim (Cheryl), Peter (Will Leakakos), Jason (Socrates Canete), and the late David; cherished uncle and great-uncle of many, and a beloved brother-in-law and friend to many.

Raymond worked in the Lombard Park District golf course clubhouse and dedicated 37 years to public education as a "trained teaching professional." He served as a guidance counselor at Evergreen Park High School and excelled as a high school football coach and gym teacher. He was deeply involved in leading programs like Operation Snowball, inspiring thousands of Southside teens to pursue college and achieve remarkable things. After his high school coaching career, Raymond continued his passion for mentoring by coaching his children and the Lombard community in baseball, basketball, and football. Coaching defined his life, and his wisdom, lessons, and heartfelt sayings will live on in the countless individuals he inspired and guided.

A Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 1, from 12:00 Noon until 6:00 PM, with a funeral service at 3:00 PM at Brust Funeral Home, 135 S. Main Street, Lombard.
