Lawrence “Larry” Enders, age 65 passed away on May 1, 2025

Leslie’s High School Sweetheart and Beloved husband of 43 years; loving father of Jason and Kevin who he was so proud of for their good hearts; dear brother of Jim (Clare) Enders who he loved living close to and getting to spend more time with; loving step son of Doris Enders who inspired him to volunteer and help others upon his retirement; fond brother in-law of Howard (Carol) Blietz and Dave (Mary) Blietz; uncle to many nieces and nephews. Larry was preceded in death by his parents Bob and Beverly Enders.

Larry literally tried every day to make people around him happier and better….a happy hello, a tight hug, some food that he made, fixing something for someone, building something for someone, building a home for someone in need, mentoring Boy Scouts, loving his family and extended family. He enjoyed any time he could be at his Missouri lake house, boating, fishing, and having fun in the sun!

He will be missed by all who loved him including his cherished kitty cats.

I went through Boy Scouts, Troop 6 (based at Trinity Lutheran Church on Algonquin Rd) with Larry and his brother Jim. Larry was always the calm, sensible half of the Enders brothers. :) They were/are both good guys. And good to hear of someone that was still married to his high school sweetheart!

Ahh Dave, as a fellow Troop 6 Scout, I can attest you are correct that both Larry and Jim were/are good guys/men; however, I believe you have them reversed.  Jim, although not always calm, seemed to me the more sensible of the two; Larry was just good at concealing his true nature!  Remember the old saying about Still Waters!!  You may recall another fellow Troop 6 Scout, Tom S. (MW '76), who, along with Larry and me, could often be found together, supposedly getting into mischief (actually, learning new skills), the troop leaders thusly nicknaming us "The 3 Musketeers!" RIP Larry.
