Steven Michael Szafranski, 60, a resident of Las Vegas, passed away on December 21, 2019. He was born in Chicago, Illinois, on January 21, 1959 to Jeanette Harriet and Leroy Michael Szafranski. He was the baby brother to Irene Costanza who passed away in 2000. Steven’s family moved to Las Vegas when he was 14-years old in 1973 and he graduated from Valley High School. 

He began a career in city construction and later moved on to carpentry. 

Steven had three boys Dain, Braydon, and Tyler Szafranski. On December 27, 1985 Steven married Billie and together they had a daughter, Stephanie, in 1987. 

Steven loved cars, fishing, camping, boating, and shooting. He worked at various hotels and casinos in Las Vegas and spent the last ten years at The Elara, which became his favorite job where he met many lifelong friends.

Steven is survived by his wife Billie; his four children Dain, Braydon, Tyler and Stephanie; and his five grandchildren Michael, Alexis, Koston, Jasper, and Lorenzo.

Services will be held at 2:00pm on Friday, January 17, 2020 with a committal to follow, both at Palm Eastern Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Avenue, Las Vegas, NV 89123.
